Thanks to the high quality of the wool and the careful craftsmanship, Arosa is very easy to care for and durable. The natural lanolin in the wool fibers keeps the rug clean and makes it extra durable.
Turn the rug over once or twice a year to keep it fresh and preserve the colors.
Our carpet is also anti-static and suitable for underfloor heating. pile height: approximately 10 -15 mm.
Where is Arosa woven?
The small village of Bogatu Roman belongs to the municipality of Pauca in Transylvania. Of the 465 inhabitants, only about 100 have jobs - 15 of them weaving carpets for us and others. For over eight years, the weaving mill has had an external workshop in Bogatu Roman, where 15 women use leftover yarn to create high-quality carpets.
Visitors to the small workshop immediately feel at home. Large bales of wool in warm natural tones and bright colors line the entrance. Only the muffled sound of old wooden looms can be heard. Here, leftover yarn is processed into "Arosa" carpets, similar to patchwork rugs. Yarn scraps are collected daily from other major machine-woven manufacturers.

Self-cleaning properties of wool
Wool is an amazing natural material that can absorb and release large amounts of moisture. It also helps keep dust out of indoor air and contributes to a more comfortable home. Collected dust is removed with a vacuum cleaner with a flat nozzle.
In addition, turn the carpet once a year and rotate it. This provides a self-cleaning effect and an even wear and appearance.
